Canon EOS 500D presented as a first entry level DSLR camera with new picture processor DIGIC 4, high resolution censored, and some new features. CMOS APS-C censored with resolution 15 megapixel resulting sharp picture with great details and able to print with big size.

In low light condition, Canon EOS 500D having good perform with using ISO 12800 and support by high speed noise reduction technology that able to set: standard, low, strong or disabled. Auto Lighting Optimizer feature with Face Detection Technology will automatically increase light level in dark area of picture.

Some features in model before also include on Canon EOS 500D like: 9 point auto focus, metering spot and 14 bit A/D converter include 3 inch LCD monitor with special shield to reduce light reflection and protect LCD from scratch that always happened.
