V85 Yacht: Royal Splash

At the elite London Boat Show, Princess Yachts introduce its largest ever V-Class sports yacht, the 26 meter V85. Since then, the vessel has garnered much interest and international media exposure for itself as well as the iconic Princess brand and its sleek fleet of yachts. The V85, while making a strong presence, still connotes simplicity and elegance with high performance and dynamism like all Princess vessels.

Princess Yachts, one of the leading motor yacht builder in Europe, is also one of the largest production boat builders in the UK. It was founded in 1965 as Marine Projects (Plymouth) Ltd to outfit and charter the Project 31, the first boat to be built at the company's original factory facilities at Newport street in Plymouth.

After the vessel was sold, more orders followed, as did increasing waves of success. Today, the acclaimed brand has wide range of Flybridge and V class sports yachts, employs some 1,800 people, enjoys rising turnovers going up by about 10 percent a year and possesses a worldwide network of distributors covering almost 70 countries.

The V85 is also a first for Princess Yacth because, distinctively for a sports yacht, it incorporates a flying bridge. The vessel comes with a deep V hull as well as the option of being outfitted with the foremost diesel engines. Hitting top speeds of almost 40 knots is a cinch, and even at high speeds, there is full control and an assurance of complete seaworthiness.
