“Animal, Vegetable, Miracle-A Year of Food Life” is the New York Times’ best selling author, Barbara Kingsolver’s first full-length non-fiction book. Kingsolver moves from her home near Tuscon, Arizona, into a rural house in southern Appalachia to embark on a journey to eat only food which her family grew or which was locally procured.
“This is the story of a year in which made every attempt to feed ourselves animals and vegetables whose provenance we really knew… of how our family was changed”, she writes. Kingsolver, who wrote this book with Stephen L Hopp and Camille Kingsolver, is the author of numerous book including “The Poisonwood bible” and “Prodigal Summer”.
